This is to petition that : Shropshire Council Cabinet's decision relating to the land at Crowgate Business Park, Bishop's Castle is referred back to the full Shropshire Council with a view to reversing the Cabinet's decision to offer land for the construction of a Biomass Incineration Power Plant and to initiate a new re-tendering process for the land - in line with the Scrutiny Committee's unanimous decision.

The proposed Bishop's Castle Biomass project is opposed by a significant majority of the residents of Bishop's Castle and surrounding areas on the basis that the project is environmentally, technically, economically and socially deficient. Intelligent opposition from the community appears to have been ignored by Shropshire Council.
